Vintage Sewing Machine Makeovers

One of the booths at Rockin' B Antiques is featuring a wonderful cafe table set made from a vintage Singer sewing machine. It's such a fun set and is stopping customers in their tracks.  I'll bet it will sell fast.

My husband made a fabulous table from a sewing machine base years ago.  I have used it in a number of places and love it.  It has been in our coat room since we moved.  You can see the table from several rooms - it's a key location and I wanted to have something really pretty there.

I started thinking about these vintage sewing machines. Even when the sewing machine itself is missing or the table top is damaged beyond repair, the iron base goes on and on.  They can certainly find new uses.  Here are a few other variations I found:
from Recycled Designer
from Mostly Mesquite
from Wild Chicken
from Harmonique
from Mac Elated
from Shelterific
from Louis Frye's Blog
from Treasure Barn
from Redoing the Undone
from Freshness Magazine
from this Flickr site

from Cozy Little House - A new blog discovery - I need to explore this one!!!
